Stephanie Fuentes, born and raised in Miami, FL, graduated from the University of Florida/New World School of the Arts with a Bachelors in Fine Arts (Dance). Ms. Fuentes trained at the Rosario Suarez Dance Academy under the direction of Rosario Suarez; the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet under the direction of Ruth Weisen; New World School of the Arts/ University of Florida under the direction of Daniel Lewis and Mary Lisa Burns; and at The Martha Graham School under the direction of Virginie Mecene, Denise Vale, and Peggy Lyman.
She is a former dancer of Peter London Global Dance Company and Martha Graham 2. Ms. Fuentes is also a certified Graham Teacher and Choreographer. In addition to her prolific training, she has received outstanding recognition and reviews for her work. Her professional experience ranges from participation in pieces by Martha Graham, including lead roles in the productions Chronicles, Temptation Of The Moon, and El Penitente, to works by Darshan Singh Bhuller, Peter London, Jamar Roberts, Michael Foley, Patricia Birch, and Michael Uthoff.
Ms. Fuentes’ interest in the film industry has led her to expand her repertoire of choreography into filming and directing videos. Her passion for transforming the stage into an atmosphere of fluidity and vivacity translates into an enveloping desire to venture into the realm of film.
She is the director and creator of Black Sheep Herd and has founded a new children’s program for ages 2-6yrs called Super Dancer.
